Here is a bit about how we do things:

Aberdour Boat Club  is a “self-help” organisation this allows the club to facilitate low subscriptions and relies for its success on members volunteering to lend a hand, especially on maintenance work parties, where the maintenance of our Club facilities is undertaken. Please bear this in mind prior to making your application.

Aberdour Boat Club has approximately 100 members at present with a variety of boats, mainly fin or bilge keel yachts a number of motorboats and sea kayaks. The boating season runs from April to October with a programme of cruises in company some club and inter-club yacht races including the annual Aberdour Regatta, fishing competition and escorted kayak trails..

There is a programme of monthly social evenings during the winter season as well as a Christmas Party and Burns Supper.

Our facilities

The club own our Clubhouse, which comprises a club room with balcony overlooking the Forth a kitchen, male and female toilets a well equipped workshop with work benches electricity water and members lockers, a shed for storage of tenders  and a launching slipway. The club also leases a Dinghy Park and arranges Bay Mooring rights from the Crown Estate.

  3. Completed forms are available for the membership to view for a period on the club noticeboard. For those with no proposer you will be invited to the next committee meeting for a review of your application and expectations.

Pier and Harbour facilities

The stone pier and Aberdour harbour itself are managed by Aberdour Residents Association Pier and Harbour committee on behalf of Fife Council. The Aberdour Pier & Harbour committee administer the fees for visiting vessels, summer berthing and winter storage of vessels within the harbour and on the pier. Contact the Hon Harbour Master in the first instance if you are interested in utilising these facilities.
